Impressive OnePlus 13T display specs announced ahead of launch

OnePlus China President Li Jie has unveiled the display specifications for the OnePlus 13T, which will launch tomorrow, April 24. This news comes from Android Headlines.

The mid-year refresh will feature a 6.32-inch flat OLED panel with 1.5K resolution (2640 x 1216) and 460 PPI. The display supports 10-bit colors, an adaptive 1-120Hz refresh rate, a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and multiple HDR formats, including HDR10+, HDR Vivid, and Dolby Vision.

Enhanced touch features include Rain Touch 2.0, Glove Touch, and Lingxi Touch for improved precision. OnePlus’ proprietary P2 display chip powers eye protection features such as Mingmu Eye Protection 2.0 and full-brightness DC dimming to reduce eye strain. These specs make the OnePlus 13T ideally suited for mobile gaming.

Previously, OnePlus confirmed its newest phone would include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite, 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. Inside is a 6,260mAh battery with 90W wired charging. The rear camera system will feature two 50MP sensors: a wide-angle and a telephoto with 2x optical and 4x ‘lossless’ zoom.

The OnePlus 13T will be available in three colors: Cloud Ink Black, Heart Beating Pink, and Morning Mist Gray.

As noted earlier this month, OnePlus’ “T” phones are typically a mid-cycle refresh of the earlier model, usually tweaking the specs to enhance performance. However, that doesn’t appear to be the case for the OnePlus 13T in relation to the flagship OnePlus 13.

Both the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13T are high-performance smartphones, but they exhibit notable differences, especially in their display and camera configurations. The OnePlus 13 has a larger 6.82-inch QHD+ AMOLED display that boasts a resolution of 3168 x 1440 pixels, delivering exceptionally sharp visuals. In terms of cameras, the OnePlus 13 features a versatile triple-camera setup with three 50MP lenses: a wide lens, a periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and an ultrawide lens.

People always say that big things come in small packages. That may just be the case for the OnePlus 13T, the first T model in the OnePlus phone line in three years. It's a little smaller than the flagship OnePlus 13 model thanks to its 6.32-inch OLED display and a weight of 185 grams, but OnePlus recently revealed on Chinese social media platform Weibo that it will house (translated) "the world’s first 6,260mAh glacier battery." That breaks the record held by the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro, which had a 6,100mAh battery.

A 6,260mAh battery guarantees a longer lifespan -- and, in turn, more screen time -- for people looking to get their hands on the OnePlus 13T. However, it's not going to be the only phone on the market with a larger-than-life battery. Other phones that have come before it come pretty close in battery size and energy -- the latter of which OnePlus has not given much information of in terms of charging power and speed. Here are four big battery phones that the OnePlus 13T will have to keep up with once it releases.

After weeks of teasing, OnePlus has revealed its compact phone -- the OnePlus 13T -- in China. The 13T is OnePlus' response to the emerging focus brands have on thin and light phones, including the upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge and the iPhone 17 Air. Despite its teensy build, the OnePlus 13T packs in plenty of power, including an unrelenting Snapdragon 8 Elite, an immersive high-resolution display, and a large battery unlike other phones of its size.

The biggest highlight is the compact design, opposing the general trend among phones stretching out of hands. Accounting for its compactness, the OnePlus 13T features a 6.32-inch AMOLED display -- compared to the 6.9-inch one used on the OnePlus 13. Even with the smaller size, the display maintains its crispness, with a 1.5K resolution and adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz. The display supports Dolby Vision and achieves a peak brightness of 2,400 nits.

We're just days away from OnePlus' next launch, where the Chinese company has confirmed it will reveal the OnePlus 13T. We're been hearing rumours about this device for a couple of months now and while we don't have all the information as yet, OnePlus has confirmed a number of things about the compact phone.

The existence of the OnePlus 13T was revealed on April Fool's Day when OnePlus announced at the end of a social post that it would be revealed later this month. Since then, we've seen the device leak in a number of benchmark tests, as well as a leaked marketing video that showed this phone running on Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
