Also this week, Hulu is streaming the first episode of FX’s new comedy series Adults, while Max has the third season premiere of And Just Like That…, the sequel series to Sex and the City.
You can find these series and the rest of the best new shows to stream below. We update this list every Friday to keep you up to date on the most binge-worthy new additions.
When you’re done here, check out the best new movies to stream this week, as well as the best shows on Netflix, the best shows on Hulu, the best new shows on Max, the best shows on Amazon Prime Video, and the best shows on Disney+.
Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Max, Disney+, Paramount+, Peacock, and Apple TV+ all have one thing in common: They’re more expensive than they used to be. The Better Sister (2025)
Jessica Biel’s Chloe Taylor is the title character of The Better Sister, but she can’t be better without her sibling, Nicky Macintosh (Elizabeth Banks). Neither of the sisters are particularly close when this miniseries begins, and there are a lot of old emotional wounds between them. But when Chloe’s husband, Adam (Corey Stoll), is found dead, his murder brings Nicky back into Chloe’s orbit. There’s some very messed up history between Chloe, Nicky, and Adam, as well as Chloe and Adam’s son, Ethan (Maxwell Acee Donovan). The police seem to think Ethan killed his father, but there may more to the case that only the sisters know for sure. How far they’re willing to go to prevent Ethan from facing murder charges remains to be seen.
Motorheads (2025)
Ryan Phillippe gets top billing in Motorheads, but this teenage drama largely focuses on his family. Logan Maddox (Phillippe) is an ex-NASCAR driver who now runs his own auto body shop in his hometown, Ironwood, Pennsylvania. Logan has also been good enough to welcome his niece, Caitlyn (Melissa Collazo), and his nephew, Zac (Michael Cimino), into his life after their mother, Samantha (Nathalie Kelley), moves the family back home.
When both Zac and Caitlyn make an enemy out of Harris (Josh Macqueen) and his fellow rich kids, they decide that the only way to take down this spoiled street racer is by restoring a vintage Charger that belonged to their father, Christian Maddox (Deacon Phillippe). To do that, they need Logan’s help, and he’s not wild about the idea to send the kids down the same road as their father.
Étoile (2025)
The audience for Étoile may be limited given the subject matter, but that’s part of the premise that Gilmore Girls and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel creators Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino came up with for the show.
Jack McMillan (Luke Kirby) the director of New York’s Metropolitan Ballet Theater and his counterpart at the Le Ballet National in Paris, Genevieve Lavigne (Charlotte Gainsbourg), are facing a similar dilemma. Audience erosion means that their prestigious ballet programs are in danger of dying. To save their respective programs, Jack and Genevive agree to swap their top stars in a yearlong experiment to turn their fortunes around. The show’s narrative is split between New York and France as both institutions explore some culture shock.
Hulu
Adults (2025)
Imagine if Friends was Gen Z and featured the entire cast in the same home. It wouldn’t be entirely like FX’s Adults, but the influence of the older show is there. The primary cast includes Samir (Malik Elassal), a guy who has lived at the same home most of his life. The only difference now is that his friends, Billie (Lucy Freyer), Anton (Owen Thiele), and Issa (Amita Rao) have moved in with him. And so has Paul Baker (Jack Innanen), Issa’s boyfriend . There’s a bizarre quality to some of the stories that unfold that resembles FX’s long-running It’s Always Funny in Philadelphia. And the show isn’t afraid to make the leads unlikable at times. It’s got a long way to go be as good as some of the best Friends clones, but there’s potential here.
Nine Perfect Strangers (2021)
The first season of Nine Perfect Strangers was originally intended as a stand-alone miniseries. But it’s back with Nicole Kidman reprising her role as Masha Dmitrichenko, a woman whose ideas about helping and healing people skirt what the law would allow. By season two, Masha is ducking lawsuits and working out of a different wellness facility called Zauberwald.
Some of Masha’s latest clients include grown adults like Peter (Henry Golding) and Imogen (Annie Murphy), who want to patch things up with their respective parents, David (Mark Strong) and Victoria (Christine Baranski). Meanwhile, Wolfie (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) wants Masha’s help getting her girlfriend and musical partner, Tina (King Princess), to embrace music again. These people have come from disparate backgrounds because they believe the hype around Masha and what she can do for them. But this could all turn very ugly if Masha pulls some of her old tricks on the assembled guests.
Max (formerly HBO and HBO Max)
And Just Like That… (2021)
HBO and Max’s Sex and the City sequel series, And Just Like That… is back for its third season with three out of the four leading ladies from the original show. But most of the focus is always going to be on Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker). Last season, she and Aidan Shaw (John Corbett) ended their relationship when he moved away to be more present in the lives of his children. In season 3, Carrie and Aidan are trying to make a long distance relationship work, much to the annoyance of Carrie’s friend, Anthony Marentino (Mario Cantone). Meanwhile, Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) has a potential new lover with a very annoying habit. There’s only one episode from season 3 that’s out so far, but that’s not quite enough to predict what’s coming next.
Duster (2025)
There aren’t many shows like Duster, which drops viewers into the early ’70s and puts the spotlight on Nina Hayes (Rachel Hilson), the first Black woman ever to become an FBI agent. Getting in the door wasn’t enugh for Nina, as she hounds her superiors to let her go after Ezra Saxton (Keith David) and his crime family in the Southwest.
Nina’s way into the investigation is through Saxton’s favorite getaway driver, Jim Ellis (Josh Holloway). Jim’s had a comfortable time working for Saxton, but Nina is able to convince him that his employer’s dark side merits risking his life to help bring him down. Nina and Jim also have to deal with other underworld and law enforcement officials who have their own reasons to derail her investigation. And things are only going to get wilder as Nina looks into Saxton’s latest business venture.
Conan O'Brien Must Go (2024)
Since Conan O’Brien is no longer a late night TV talk show host, his awkward brand of humor can no longer be confined to a single country. Conan O’Brien Must Go is a comedic travel show in which O’Brien visits fans that he’s connected to through his audio podcast.
There aren’t a lot of episodes each season, but this year, O’Brien is heading to Spain to meet up with Javier Bardem, and then he’s off to New Zealand to reunite with Taika Waititi. The third episode will send O’Brien to Austria, and who knows where he’ll go from there.
Apple TV+
Murderbot (2025)
The Northman‘s Alexander Skarsgård headlines Murderbot as an advanced security android who is perhaps a bit too human. Unlike other androids, Muderbot has developed sentience as well as a taste for binge-watching the latest TV programs at faster speeds than humans can comprehend. Regardless, Murderbot correctly feels the need to hide any evidence of free will from the boring humans that need protection and assistance. Thus, people are the bane of Murderbot’s existence and also the source of potential insights into what makes a being truly human.
Your Friends & Neighbors (2025)
Mad Men‘s Jon Hamm stars in Your Friends & Neighbors as Andrew “Coop” Cooper, a man who used to be extremely wealthy thanks to his high-powered job as a hedge fund manager. But once Coop loses that job, he can’t seem to find anything comparable. Rather than let his family slip into economic discomfort, Coop discovers he has a talent for stealing from their affluent neighbors.
One of those neighbors is Samantha “Sam” Levitt (Olivia Munn), the best friend of Coop’s ex-wife, Mel (Amanda Peet). Sam and Coop have casual sexual flings on the side even though she wants more out of the relationship. And if she discovers how he’s been stealing for a living, then it’s probably going to complicate things even further.
Netflix
Love, Death & Robots (2019)
What began as a remake of the Heavy Metal animated movie has become one of the most daring adult-oriented animated series in the streaming-verse. Tim Miller and David Fincher’s Love, Death & Robots is an anthology that always takes at least one of the themes from the title — if not more — and constructs a short story around them. The fourth season has just debuted with ten new episodes of varying lengths. It’s the perfect show for anyone who just wants a story they can jump in and out of quickly. Fair warning though, this show is about as NSFW as it gets.
The Four Seasons (2025)
There’s nothing that upsets the dynamic between couples than the sudden breakup of one of the romantic pairings. The Four Seasons starts with three couples on vacation, but Nick (Steve Carell) and Anne (Kerri Kenney-Silver) are heading towards a divorce whether she wants one or not.
That doesn’t sit will with their longtime pals Kate (Tina Fey) and Jack (Will Forte). Meanwhile, Claude (Marco Calvani) and Danny (Colman Domingo) are having some issues in their own marriage. Without Anne, the connections between the three couples become strained, especially when Nick wants his new girlfriend, Ginny (Erika Henningsen), to take Anne’s place in the group.
Paramount+
The Chi (2018)
Showtime’s long-running original series The Chi is back with a vengeance, or at least Alicia (Lynn Whitfield) is. Her son, Rob (Iman Shumpert), has been murdered, and Alicia is already out looking for his killer and ready to take revenge. Alicia has to be the one to tell Rob’s lover, Tiffany (Hannaha Hall), that he’s dead, The fallout from Rob’s murder also affects Victor “Trig” Taylor (Luke James) and Fatima (L’lerrét Jazelle), but it may be a while before Alicia realizes who really killed her son and what it’s going to take to get the retribution she so desperately wants.
Criminal Minds: Evolution (2005)
The revival of Criminal Minds continues for a third season in Criminal Minds: Evolution. Each episode presents a new case for David Ross (Joe Mantegna), Jennifer Jareau (A.J. Cook), and the rest of their forensic scientists as they race to catch another killer.
This season, Matthew Gray Gubler will rejoin his former castmates as Dr. Spencer Reid for at least one episode before he stars in Einstein for CBS. Elias Voit (Zach Gilford) is also sticking around this season, despite the team’s efforts to put him away for good.
Peacock
Poker Face (2023)
But her innate ability to tell when people are lying makes her a great detective, especially when some folks wind up as murder victims. This year’s second season premiere features Wicked‘s Cynthia Erivo as quintuplets, each with their own personality. And one of those sisters is a killer.
Law & Order: Organized Crime (2021)
Someone is out for revenge on Senior Detective Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) in Law & Order: Organized Crime season 5. Considering how long Meloni has been with the franchise, the line of suspects starts outside and goes around the block. Season 5 picks up with Stabler once again undercover on behalf of the Organized Crime Control Bureau.
While Stabler tries to complete that case, his son, Eli (Nicky Torchia), is following in his footsteps as both a police officer and a young father. Eli and his girlfriend are also living with Stabler, which only makes things even more fraught. Longtime Law & Order fans will also get to see another reunion between Stabler and his former partner, Captain Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay).
Disney+
Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld (2025)
As for Cad Bane, this is a look back at his formative years long before he was one of the most dangerous bounty hunters in the galaxy. But there will be at least one story of Bane in his prime as he confronts an old friend who is now standing between him and his bounty.
Doctor Who (2024)
The Doctor will see you now! Disney+ and BBC may pretend that this is season 2 of Doctor Who, it’s actually the 15th season of the revival series that began in 2005.
This season, The Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) faces an interesting dilemma with his new companion, Belinda Chandra (Varada Sethu). Something powerful is keeping the Doctor from returning Belinda to her life on Earth. That begs the question of who has enough power to prevent the Doctor’s TARDIS from going to Earth and why don’t they want Belinda to return?
